This incentive was truly unique in that it featured the highlights of Vancouver and Banff with a two day journey in-between on the specially-chartered Rocky Mountaineer railroad through the spectacular Rocky Mountains.

Vancouver had a wealth of optional sightseeing such as the Capilano Suspension Bridge and Grouse Mountain SuperSkyRide, as well as whale-watching, floatplane trips and - of course - shopping both at local markets such as Granville Island and at fashion centres like Robson Street.

Evenings feature a mix of hosted functions in exclusive locations and private a la carte dining at a set of pre-selected fine dining venues.

The two-day journey on the specially chartered 'Rocky Mountaineer' train through the Rockies was justifiably referred to as 'the most spectacular train trip in the world.'

Travelling from Vancouver over 600 miles of the most dramatic scenery, through the Canadian Rockies to arrive in Banff at the height of its winter ski season.

There was plenty of opportunity to capture wildlife grazing and enjoy the magnificent scenery of mountains, rivers and lakes. The journey had an overnight stay at Kamloops, in the Okanagan region of British Columbia, before continuing to Banff.

In Banff, everyone had the chance to explore hundreds of miles of mountain trails with a wealth of activities to try. Discovering the mountains by helicopter, skis or dog-sleds, visiting the hot springs at Sulphur Mountain and riding to the peak by cable car, or making use of the world-class skiing and snowboarding facilities at Lake Louise were just some of the options. For those wanting a more leisurely pace, the boutiques, ethnic stores, museums and galleries of Banff were on their doorstep, plus the luxury spa at their host resort, the famous Banff Springs Hotel which proved exceedingly popular.

Canada also proved to be a great gateway for those wishing to extend their stay beyond the official programme period. Toronto, Montreal, Lake Louise and Whistler were just a few of the destinations that guests chose to add to their individual extension itineraries.
